Finally! A legit photo straight outta my SLR and not from my iPhone. I feel validated. A million thank yous, VSCO, for letting me be my lil ol' quirky self and to be that girl who's vision is always outside the box. So with that, let's end July with a simple reminder of why we photograph indelible moments that matter to us and to us only, a la VSCO style:
'Viewing such diverse subject matter on VSCO Grid can be a humbling experience, as we realize how narrow our field of vision is in regards to the larger picture. The world we live in is a complicated place, and our capacity to fully understand its intricacies is impossible. However, it is important that we try not to allow our lack of knowledge to affect our empathy and capacity to care about another's perspective. Thank you for sharing instances that are full of life and speak truth to your personal experiences.'

When a fellow photog friend from Vegas and I discussed possible side photo projects to do together many moons ago, I had expressed (admittedly, too much) zeal about getting back into the double exposure photography game. It was something I had missed doing with my analogs back in the day. The convenience of shooting on the go as the world blurs by, pausing just long enough to capture the spontaneity of the moment whilst sometimes (ok, all the time!) forgetting to advance the film. Just got a bit lazy over the years. DSLRs, ya know. Though all this recent photog project talks inadvertently sent off a cascade of exclamations in my head. That personal photog project numero dos that I've been wanting to do but didn't know what of? Well, it was right there in front of me this whole time. And it couldn't have been more me and true to my heart! Aha moments are worth waiting for, innit? Now time to ride this photog inspo high and run away with it! Summer 2014 Double Exposure Series coming soon. Quirky Jin style.
